To be recognized as a leader in community health solutions
Service, compassion, opportunity, partnership, excellence
We are organized as a 501(c)(3) 509a nonprofit organization and operate exclusively for charitable purposes. As such, the Foundation is a private non-operating foundation. The Foundation’s purpose is to improve the health and well-being of our community consistent with its Osteopathic heritage. It accomplishes this by making grants to qualified health-related nonprofit organizations in El Paso and Teller counties that meet its mission priorities, by providing scholarships to osteopathic medical students, and collaborating with like-minded organizations to develop solutions to meet community health needs.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director. The Board is represented equally by Osteopathic Physicians and Friends of Osteopathic Medicine.
