The Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation was established in 1984 as a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 charitable operating foundation. The Foundation operates Centennial Health (formerly known as Family Medicine Center), a research-based primary care clinic for adults ages 50 and older with an emphasis on adults 65 years of age and older. Patients receiving care through Centennial Health are encouraged to partner with their physician to maintain or improve their functional independence by prevention and lifestyle changes. It’s Center for Osteopathic Education & Research tracks evidence-based patient care methods and outcomes and shares its findings with other providers through continuing medical education programs and publications.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by an Executive Director and Medical Director. The Board is elected by the Foundation’s membership and is represented equally by osteopathic physicians and Friends of Osteopathic Medicine. Among the Foundation committees are Finance and Investment, Strategic Planning, Development and Nominating. |
